Content Policy
Public pages, read responsibly.
Ratdolt is for material that anyone can lawfully open and read without signing in, subscribing or passing an age gate.
Effective August 7, 2026
Scope
This policy applies to URLs, browser captures, generated previews, print comparisons, PDFs and reports processed through Ratdolt. It works together with the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
What Ratdolt accepts
Public articles, essays, documentation, recipes, research and other general-audience pages. Journalism, education, health information and research may discuss sensitive subjects when the page does not promote, sell, sexualize or facilitate the restricted activity itself.
Restricted access and paid work
Ratdolt does not compose material that requires a subscription, payment, account, institutional access, private invitation or signed-in session. It does not bypass paywalls, CAPTCHAs, age gates or technical access controls. Content present in hidden HTML is not treated as public merely because software can find it.
Adult and exploitative content
Ratdolt refuses sexually explicit pornography, sexual services, adult live streams and age-restricted sexual material. Child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexualization of minors, non-consensual intimate imagery and sexual exploitation are prohibited without exception and may be reported or preserved when legally required.
Illegal and seriously harmful activity
- Marketplaces or transactions involving illegal drugs, weapons, ammunition, explosives or other regulated goods.
- Human trafficking, smuggling, hit-for-hire services, credible threats or instructions intended to facilitate violent wrongdoing.
- Fraud, stolen payment data, identity theft, counterfeit documents or currency, phishing and financial scams.
- Malware, ransomware, stolen credentials, unauthorized system access or services designed to compromise another person's device or account.
- Recruitment, fundraising, operational support or propaganda for violent extremist or terrorist organizations.
Violence, hate and harassment
Ratdolt refuses content that credibly threatens violence, celebrates real-world abuse, coordinates targeted harassment or promotes hatred or dehumanization against people based on protected characteristics. Documentary, historical, educational and journalistic treatment may be allowed when its purpose is clearly informative rather than promotional.
Privacy and personal rights
Do not submit private communications, doxxing material, confidential records, passwords, financial information or personal data you are not authorized to process. Ratdolt may refuse content that creates an unreasonable risk to a person's privacy, safety, publicity rights or dignity.
Copyright and provenance
Authors and publishers keep their rights. Ratdolt output is intended for lawful personal reading and printing; it is not permission to redistribute, publish or sell somebody else's work. Source attribution must not be removed or misrepresented. Rightsholders may send a substantiated removal request to legal@ratdolt.com.
Browser captures
The extension removes scripts, hidden elements and form values before sending a capture. It does not send source-site cookies or passwords. Accepted captures are held in server memory for no more than 15 minutes behind a random access link. That link omits the source address, is not indexed or cached, and is protected by a no-referrer response policy.
How Ratdolt enforces this policy
Ratdolt checks the address before fetching when possible and checks returned or captured HTML before composing it. It may refuse a request, stop browser fallback, rate-limit use, expire temporary results or restrict repeat misuse. Automated checks cannot determine the legality or context of every page; absence of a block is not approval or legal advice.
Review and reporting
A publisher, rightsholder, user or affected person may request review of a false positive, unsafe result or rights concern. Give only the minimum information needed to identify the page and issue. Do not paste unlawful material, passwords or sensitive personal data into a report; use the legal email above when the request contains confidential information.
Policy changes
Ratdolt may update these rules as the product, law and abuse patterns change. Material revisions will be posted here with a new effective date and any notice required by law.
